The following disclaimer is provided for your information and in accordance with current Australian legislation.
By participating in any session with Kerryn Slater, including but not limited to Ascension Reiki, energy healing, sound healing, or intuitive energy work, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Energy healing modalities are complementary therapies designed to support relaxation, stress reduction, and overall wellbeing. These sessions work with the body’s natural energy systems and are not a substitute for medical, psychological, or professional healthcare advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Kerryn Slater does not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe treatments, or interfere with the care provided by licensed healthcare professionals. You are encouraged to seek appropriate medical advice from a qualified practitioner for any physical or psychological concerns.
By engaging in a session, you acknowledge that healing is a personal and individual process, and results may vary. You understand that multiple sessions may be required to support ongoing balance and wellbeing.
You accept full responsibility for your own health and wellbeing, including any decisions or actions taken following your session.
Kerryn Slater will hold a safe and supportive space; however, you agree that she shall not be held liable for any perceived outcomes, reactions, or effects experienced during or after your session.
Terms & Conditions – Ascension Reiki Levels 1 & 2 Certification
These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings for Ascension Reiki Levels 1 & 2 Certification training facilitated by Kerryn Slater trading as Holistic Essentials (Therapy & Consulting) (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By booking or participating in this training, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Booking & Payment
A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to secure your place in the training.
The remaining balance of $595 must be paid prior to or on the first day of training, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Your place is not confirmed until payment of the deposit has been received.
All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD).
Cancellations, Transfers & Refunds
The $100 deposit is non-refundable.
If you are unable to attend, you may request to transfer your booking to a future training date. Transfers are subject to availability and at our discretion.
Requests for transfer must be made in writing with reasonable notice.
We reserve the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule a training due to unforeseen circumstances (including but not limited to illness, low enrolment, or events beyond our control). In such cases, you will be offered either:
- a transfer to a future training date, or
- a refund of any amounts paid (excluding non-recoverable costs where applicable under Australian Consumer Law).
Nothing in this clause excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Nature of Services
Ascension Reiki is a complementary and holistic modality.
It is not a substitute for medical, psychological, or professional healthcare advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
No guarantees are made regarding specific outcomes, and individual experiences may vary.
Health & Disclosure
You agree to disclose any relevant medical, psychological, or emotional conditions that may impact your participation.
We reserve the right to decline or defer your participation if we reasonably believe it is not in your best interest or may impact the safety of the group.

All participants are expected to:
- Treat others with respect and consideration
- Maintain confidentiality of personal information shared during training
- Contribute to a safe, supportive environment
We reserve the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate. In such cases, no refund will be provided.

Intellectual Property
All course materials, manuals, teachings, and content are the intellectual property of Kerryn Slater and/or the Ascension Reiki lineage.
These materials are provided for personal use only and must not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or shared without prior written consent.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, injury, damage, or expense arising directly or indirectly from your participation in the training.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Privacy
Any personal information collected will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Australian privacy laws.
Agreement
By booking or participating in this training, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Self Discovery Coaching sessions provided by Kerryn Slater (Holistic Essentials Therapy and Consulting) incorporate a combination of coaching, intuitive guidance, the ThetaHealing technique, and the Thrive Factor Framework.
These services are designed to support personal growth, self-discovery, mindset awareness, and emotional wellbeing.
Coaching is not a substitute for medical, psychological, psychiatric, or other licensed healthcare services.
Not Medical or Psychological Advice
You acknowledge and agree that:
- Coaching services do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or mental health condition
- These services are not a replacement for professional medical, psychological, or psychiatric advice, diagnosis, or treatment
- If you have concerns regarding your health or wellbeing, you agree to seek appropriate support from a qualified healthcare provider

Terms & Conditions
Bookings & Payments
All sessions must be paid in full at the time of booking via the online scheduling system, unless alternate arrangements have been agreed upon.
Your booking secures your appointment time and confirms your agreement to these terms.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule your appointment.
• Changes within 24 hours may result in forfeiture of your session
• Missed appointments or no-shows are non-refundable
• Late arrivals will result in reduced session time
Session Disclaimer
All services offered by Kerryn Slater through Holistic Essentials Therapy & Consulting are intended to support personal, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.
Results will vary from person to person and are dependent on individual participation, openness, and readiness for change. No guarantees are made regarding outcomes.

Client Responsibility

Confidentiality
All sessions are held in strict confidence in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Your personal information and session details will not be shared without your consent, except where required by law.
Recordings
Clients may record their session for personal use only.
Recordings must not be shared, reproduced, or published without written permission from Kerryn Slater.
No responsibility is taken for technical issues affecting recordings.
Termination of Services
Kerryn Slater reserves the right to end a session if:
• The environment feels unsafe or inappropriate
• The client is not in a suitable state to continue
Clients may also choose to end a session at any time.
Workshops, Events & Classes
Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your place to another participant with prior notice.
Refund policies for events vary depending on the specific offering and will be outlined at the time of booking.
Products
All products are non-refundable for change of mind.
If a product is faulty, please contact us within 7 days to arrange a replacement or refund in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Where required, services will be provided with due care and skill and be fit for purpose.
Liability is limited, where permitted, to the resupply of services or refund of the purchase amount.
